2022/2023 Chevrolet Equinox Comparison Page

2023 Chevrolet Equinox Compared to the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
Comparing the 2023 Chevy Equinox to the 2022 Chevy Equinox, changes made to the crossover SUV are relatively minor. However, the powertrain has gotten more performance added to it for the new model year. This means that drivers of the new 2023 Equinox can expect even more reliability when getting their daily tasks done around the Denver Metro region. New exterior paint options and two new special editions of the base LS trim have also been made available for the 2023 iteration of the Equinox.
Performance
Although the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox has the same 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the 2022 version of the vehicle did, the performance the driver has access to has been increased. Going from 170 horsepower to 175, drivers will appreciate the extra power available to them. Accompanied once again by a six-speed automatic transmission, the ride in the crossover SUV is satisfyingly smooth. FWD remains the standard drivetrain for the 2023 Equinox, with AWD being available as a drivetrain as well.
Exterior & Interior Features
With everything inside the family of 2023 Chevrolet Equinox models remaining the same as the 2022 versions of the crossover SUV, the big changes come with the visual customizations that interested Colorado drivers can opt for. There are eight available colors for the exterior of the vehicle in the 2023 model year, with three of them being new for this year. Those looking to further customize their baseline LS version of the 2023 Equinox can also now choose between the new Sport and Midnight options. These give the crossover SUV various visual upgrades to help them stand out even more from its traditional iterations.
Safety Features
For the new model year of the crossover SUV, the 2023 Chevy Equinox implements a new braking system. Instead of the traditional brake system that uses vacuums to boost the stopping force, Chevrolet has added an electronically boosted system. Known as “E-boost”, this braking system further improves stopping potential to help drivers feel even safer when on the road. Additional standard driver-assistance features are directly carried over from the 2022 version of the crossover SUV as well. These include Automatic Emergency Braking with added Pedestrian Detection technology for comprehensive coverage in front of the vehicle. Adaptive Cruise Control remains available on select trims for the 2023 version of the Equinox.
