Chevrolet is driven by your safety, with new Chevys featuring advanced technology to help you drive as safely as possible. However, there is no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner.

These safety and driver assistance technologies are purely meant to enhance peace of mind, and are by no means meant to replace cautious driving. With that said, you can get a closer look at that array of technologies that can actively help you watch out for dangerous situations on the road.

Chevy Safety Assist

This bundle combines six of the most advanced safety technologies together in an effort to promote confidence while driving:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Front Pedestrian Braking
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • Intellibeam

Forward Collision Alert & Automatic Emergency Braking

This can warn you when the tech detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you’re following so you can quickly take action, provide tailgating alert, and utilizes cameras to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking.

Front Pedestrian Braking

This can help you avoid or reduce the severity of a collision with a pedestrian the tech detects directly ahead of you, but is limited at night or other times of low visibility.

Following Distance Indicator

Designed to help you maintain a safe following distance, this displays the following time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you’re following.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

This system uses a brief steering wheel turn to alert you when you may be unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines.

Intellibeam

At speeds above 25 mph, this can automatically turn the vehicle’s high beam headlamps on and off according to surrounding traffic conditions.
