Engine Options
The Trailblazer features a 1.3L engine with front-wheel drive, paired with a continuously variable transmission. There is also the option to upgrade to the available all-wheel drive depending on your needs. The Equinox features a 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine and a six speed automatic transmission whether you choose front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
If more horsepower and torque output is what you are after, the Equinox might be the better choice. However, the Trailblazer offers better fuel economy with up to 29/33 MPG city/hwy than the Equinox which gets up to 26/31 MPG city/hwy. Towing is also possible with both SUVs with the Equinox able to tow up to 1,500 lbs and the Trailblazer able to tow up to 1,000 lbs.
Interior Features
Seat up to five comfortably in either the Trailblazer or the Equinox. Front and rear headroom and legroom are nearly the same but the Equinox is slightly wider giving about 6 inches more shoulder and hip room than the Trailblazer. The Trailblazer allows you to stow up to 54.4 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seats folded down while the Equinox allows for up to 63.3 cubic feet of cargo.
Premium features available in the 2023 Equinox include dual-zone climate control, heated/ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Single-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are also available with the Trailblazer.

Technology
The standard Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system is included in both the Trailblazer and the Equinox on a 7-inch center touchscreen. Entertainment features like Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity are also available in both SUVs. There is also the option to upgrade to the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system in either SUV which includes an 8-inch touchscreen and available built-in Amazon Alexa.
