The Matchup: Size, Towing and NACS vs Price and Power

Ford has not priced a 2027 Mach-E, so the 2026 is the newest one on sale; it starts at $37,795 before Ford’s $2,045 destination charge. The 2027 Blazer EV starts at $45,000 plus $1,795 destination and now has a native NACS port. Emich’s current stock is the 2026 Blazer EV LT, which uses a CCS1 port and needs an adapter for Tesla Superchargers.

The Blazer EV LT and RS use an 85 kWh battery with FWD (220 hp) or AWD (300 hp), and the SS makes 615 hp with Wide Open Watts. The Mach-E Select and Premium offer a standard-range (73 kWh usable) or extended-range (88 kWh) battery with RWD (264 to 272 hp) or eAWD (325 to 370 hp), and the GT and Rally make 480 hp. Ford’s option prices for eAWD and the extended-range battery are not included, so this page compares trims at their published starting prices.

The Blazer EV is 6.6 inches longer (192.2 vs 185.6 in.) on a 4.3-inch longer wheelbase and has more rear legroom (38.9 vs 38.1 in.). The Mach-E has more cargo space behind the rear seat (29.7 vs 25.5 cu ft), about the same with the seat folded (59.1 to 59.7 vs 59.1) and an available 2.6 cu ft front trunk.

Performance: Blazer EV SS vs Mach-E GT and Rally

The Blazer EV SS ($60,700) has 615 hp and 650 lb-ft with Wide Open Watts mode, and GM estimates 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds (closed course, based on initial vehicle movement). Its 102 kWh battery gives an EPA-rated 302 miles and accepts up to 190 kW of DC fast charging, and Brembo brakes and Super Cruise are standard. The SS is not rated to tow.

The Mach-E GT ($53,395) makes 480 hp and 600 lb-ft, and Ford quotes 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, or 3.3 seconds with the optional Performance Upgrade. The Rally ($57,690) includes the Performance Upgrade (700 lb-ft), Rallycross-tuned MagneRide damping and Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, with a 3.4-second 0-60 time and an EPA-rated 255 miles (GT: 280). BlueCruise is standard on both.

Hands-Free Driving: Super Cruise vs BlueCruise

Super Cruise is hands-free driver assistance, and drivers must still pay attention to the road. It is standard on the SS. On the LT it adds $6,290 in total (the $3,795 Super Cruise Package plus the required $2,495 Comfort and Convenience Package), and on the RS $5,190 (with the required $1,395 RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package); the package also adds Bose audio and Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist. The plan is included for three years, then GM charges for a plan starting at $39.99 a month. On the LT and RS, Super Cruise also works while towing, with its lane-change features turned off.

BlueCruise 1.5 comes in Ford’s Technology Package, standard on the GT and Rally and optional on the Select and Premium; Ford’s package price was not available for this comparison. It includes a plan for one year and 90 days, then costs $495 a year or $49.99 a month, or $2,495 at purchase for at least seven years. Ford says BlueCruise stays active up to 80 mph, the 2026 Mach-E’s BlueCruise 1.5 includes automatic lane changes, and Ford limits BlueCruise towing to the 2027 F-150.

Interior and Technology

Chevy Blazer EV dashboard and touchscreen

Every Blazer EV has a 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, which requires a service plan, and an 11-inch driver display. Chevrolet does not list Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for the Blazer EV. A head-up display comes in an RS package and is standard on the SS. The Mach-E has a 15.5-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4A, a 10.2-inch digital cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Phone As A Key as standard.

Chevy Safety Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and HD Surround Vision are standard on every Blazer EV. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is standard on the Mach-E, while the 360-degree camera and front parking sensors moved into the Technology Package on the Select and Premium for 2026. NHTSA rates the 2026 Mach-E five stars overall and the 2026 Blazer EV AWD five stars overall; it has not rated the 2027 Blazer EV yet. IIHS named the 2026 Mach-E a 2026 TOP SAFETY PICK, and the Blazer EV has no IIHS award.

The Bottom Line

If you want a lower price, more power for the money, wireless phone integration or a 480-hp GT or Rally, the Mach-E is the better fit. If you need to tow, want more range than the base Mach-E, more rear legroom and a native NACS port, the Blazer EV is the stronger pick. Blazer EV vs Mach-E FAQs

Which is cheaper, the Blazer EV or the Mach-E?

The Mach-E. The 2026 Mach-E Select starts at $37,795 and the Premium at $40,595, vs $45,000 for the 2027 Blazer EV LT FWD and $48,000 for the LT AWD. All exclude destination: $2,045 for Ford and $1,795 for Chevrolet. Ford’s eAWD and extended-range battery cost extra.

Can the Mach-E tow?

Ford’s 2026 RV & Trailer Towing Guide says the Mach-E is not recommended for trailer towing. The Blazer EV LT and RS are rated to tow 1,500 lbs with factory trailering equipment (Chevrolet’s 2026 rating); the SS is not rated to tow.

Which has more range?

It depends on the version. The base Blazer EV LT FWD is EPA-rated at 312 miles vs 260 for the base Mach-E Select RWD. The Mach-E Premium RWD with the extra-cost extended-range battery is rated at 320 miles, and the extended-range eAWD at 300 vs 283 for the Blazer EV AWD.

Can they use Tesla Superchargers?

The 2027 Blazer EV has a native NACS port, so no adapter is needed. The Mach-E has a CCS port and uses Ford’s Fast Charging Adapter, optional for 2026, at Superchargers. 2026 Blazer EV models, like those in Emich’s current stock, use CCS1 and need a GM NACS adapter.

Does either qualify for an EV tax credit?

The federal clean vehicle credit is not available for new EVs acquired after Sept. 30, 2025, for any brand. Colorado’s 2026 tax-year credit is $750 for a qualifying new EV with an MSRP up to $80,000.
