Quick Answer
The 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 starts at $37,200 for the Work Truck and runs to $71,800 for the ZR2 (MSRP, plus a $2,795 destination charge). It offers four engines, the 2.7L TurboMax, 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8 and 3.0L Duramax diesel, and properly equipped it tows up to 13,300 pounds. Emich’s in-stock Silverado 1500s are 2026 Crew Cab 4WD trucks, and the most common one on our lot is the RST. The redesigned 2027 Silverado 1500, from $41,395 including destination, goes on sale in late 2026, according to Chevrolet.

What’s on Emich’s Lot Right Now
Every new Silverado 1500 in stock at Emich Chevrolet is a 2026 model with a crew cab and four-wheel drive, the configuration most Front Range buyers want for winter roads, mountain weekends and towing. As of mid-October 2026, the RST makes up about half of our Silverado 1500 inventory. The rest is mostly off-road and premium trims: LT Trail Boss, ZR2 and High Country, plus a few LT, LTZ and Custom Trail Boss trucks. Inventory changes daily, so check live Silverado 1500 inventory for current trucks and pricing.
Two of those trims, RST and LTZ, are not in Chevrolet’s announced 2027 lineup. If you want one, the 2026 trucks on the lot are the way to get it.
2026 Silverado 1500 Trims and Pricing
The 2026 Silverado 1500 comes in nine gas and diesel trims. Prices below are Chevrolet’s starting MSRPs; they don’t include the $2,795 destination charge, taxes, fees or options.
| Trim | Starting MSRP | Standard engine | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Work Truck (WT) | $37,200 | 2.7L TurboMax | The working base truck, offered in regular, double and crew cab. |
| Custom | $42,700 | 2.7L TurboMax | A value-priced step up from the Work Truck. |
| LT | $48,200 | 2.7L TurboMax | 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital driver display. |
| RST | $51,300 | 2.7L TurboMax | Street-styled appearance; 6.2L V8 available on crew cab 4WD. Not in the announced 2027 lineup. |
| Custom Trail Boss | $53,200 | 2.7L TurboMax | 2-inch lift, Z71 package, auto-locking rear differential and mud-terrain tires. |
| LTZ | $58,000 | 5.3L V8 | Premium comfort trim with the V8 standard. Not in the announced 2027 lineup. |
| LT Trail Boss | $60,000 | 2.7L TurboMax | Trail Boss hardware plus the big screens and 20-inch wheels. |
| High Country | $63,200 | 5.3L V8 | Top luxury trim; available Super Cruise with hands-free trailering. |
| ZR2 | $71,800 | 3.0L Duramax | Multimatic DSSV dampers, front and rear locking differentials, 33-inch mud-terrain tires. |

For most Front Range buyers the decision comes down to three questions: how much you tow, how much off-road capability you want, and how much technology you want inside. The RST is the most popular choice at Emich because it pairs a sharp look with available V8 power. The LT Trail Boss and ZR2 are for drivers who head into the mountains, and the High Country is for buyers who want every comfort and Super Cruise.

Engines, Towing and Fuel Economy (2026)
Every 2026 Silverado 1500 engine has automatic stop/start, and the turbocharged TurboMax and Duramax deliver their torque low in the rev range, which helps on Colorado grades. Maximum towing depends on the cab, bed, axle and whether the truck has the Max Trailering Package, so the table shows both the best rating for each engine and the best rating in the crew cab 4WD configuration Emich stocks.
| Engine | Power | Transmission | Max towing (any configuration) | Max towing, crew cab 4WD | EPA mpg, 4WD (city/hwy) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.7L TurboMax (4-cylinder turbo) | 310 hp / 430 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic | 9,500 lbs | 9,000 lbs | 17/21 |
| 5.3L V8 | 355 hp / 383 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | 11,400 lbs | 11,000 lbs (Max Trailering Package) | 15/19 |
| 6.2L V8 | 420 hp / 460 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | 13,200 lbs | 13,200 lbs (Max Trailering Package, 20-inch wheels) | 15/20 |
| 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel | 305 hp / 495 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | 13,300 lbs | 13,000 lbs (short bed, Max Trailering Package, 20-inch wheels) | 22/25 |
Sources: chevrolet.com 2026 Silverado 1500 towing chart and 2026 Chevrolet Trailering Guide; EPA ratings from fueleconomy.gov. The 13,300-lb maximum requires a Double Cab Standard Bed 2WD with the Duramax, Max Trailering Package and 20-inch wheels. The ZR2 is rated up to 8,800 lbs (6.2L) or 8,700 lbs (Duramax).
Which engine should you choose?
- 2.7L TurboMax: the right fit for commuting and light towing. It makes more torque than the 5.3L V8, and turbocharging helps it hold its power at Denver’s altitude.
- 5.3L V8: the traditional choice for regular, medium towing such as a camper or a pair of snowmobiles.
- 6.2L V8: the most horsepower in the lineup and up to 13,200 lbs of towing in a crew cab 4WD.
- 3.0L Duramax: the most torque (495 lb-ft), the best fuel economy (22/25 mpg in 4WD) and the highest tow rating. Chevrolet says it is the only diesel in its class.
For a deeper look at each engine, see our Silverado engine guide.

Towing in Colorado
Towing over Vail Pass or the Eisenhower Tunnel asks more of a truck than flat-land towing. Naturally aspirated V8s lose some power as elevation rises, while the turbocharged TurboMax and Duramax are less affected. Leave margin below the rated maximum for long mountain grades, and use tow/haul mode so the transmission and engine braking help on the descents. Available Silverado trailering features include an in-vehicle trailering app with trailer profiles and pre-departure checklists, Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, and up to 14 camera views, including Transparent Trailer View with an accessory camera. To compare towing across every Chevy truck and SUV, see our Chevy towing capacity chart.
Cabs, Beds and Payload
The 2026 Silverado 1500 comes as a Regular Cab (standard or long bed), Double Cab (standard bed) or Crew Cab (short or standard bed), each in 2WD or 4WD. Maximum payload is 2,260 lbs, on a Regular Cab Long Bed 2WD with the TurboMax.
| Configuration | Inside bed length (floor) | Bed cargo volume |
|---|---|---|
| Crew Cab, short bed | 69.9 in (about 5 ft 10 in) | 62.9 cu ft |
| Crew Cab, standard bed | 79.4 in (about 6 ft 7 in) | 71.7 cu ft |
| Regular Cab, long bed | Longest bed offered | 89.1 cu ft |
Sources: chevrolet.com and GM’s 2026 Silverado specification guide. Cargo volume per Chevrolet’s Durabed figures.
Every Durabed has 12 standard tie-downs rated at 500 lbs per corner. Available upgrades include a 120-volt bed outlet, a power up/down tailgate and the six-function Multi-Flex Tailgate, whose step holds up to 375 lbs. For a full breakdown of which cab and bed fits your garage and your trailer, read Silverado cab and bed sizes explained.
Off-Road Silverados: Trail Boss and ZR2
Two families of Silverado 1500 are built for dirt, snow and rock: the Trail Boss trims and the ZR2.
Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss
Both Trail Boss trims get a 2-inch factory lift, the Z71 Off-Road Package, an Autotrac two-speed transfer case and an automatic locking rear differential; the Custom Trail Boss also adds skid plates. The Custom Trail Boss rides on 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. The LT Trail Boss adds 20-inch wheels and the 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch driver display. They are the sweet spot for drivers who want real trail capability without the ZR2’s price.
ZR2
The ZR2 is the most capable off-road Silverado 1500. It adds Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers (exclusive to the ZR2), front and rear electronic locking differentials, a 2-inch lift, an off-road front bumper with a 33.5-degree approach angle, aluminum underbody skid plates and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. The 3.0L Duramax is standard and the 6.2L V8 is available. The ZR2 Bison Edition, built with AEV, adds AEV bumpers, AEV skid plates and 18-inch AEV wheels.
Interior, Technology and Safety (2026)
The LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, High Country and ZR2 get a 13.4-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch reconfigurable driver display; the Work Truck starts with a 7-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on both setups, and Google built-in, with Google Maps and the Gemini assistant, is available. The ZR2 offers a 15-inch head-up display.

Super Cruise with trailering. The 2026 High Country offers Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free driver-assistance system for compatible roads, and it works while you tow. Chevrolet says no competitor offers hands-free driving while towing. A Super Cruise plan or trial is required, and you must stay attentive to the road.
Safety. Chevy Safety Assist is standard on every 2026 Silverado 1500. It includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam auto high beams and a Following Distance Indicator. Available features include Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, HD Surround Vision and front and rear park assist.
2026 Silverado 1500 Colors
Chevrolet’s 2026 Silverado 1500 palette includes Summit White, Black, Sterling Gray Metallic, Red Hot, White Sands, Cypress Gray, Polar White Tricoat, Radiant Red Tintcoat and Riptide Blue Metallic. Availability varies by trim, premium colors cost extra, and Chevrolet notes that some colors have extremely limited availability, so filter our inventory by color to see what’s on the lot.
